ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - NEWS FLASH

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD AT THE CHELSEA COMMUNITY HUB, 5 SHOWERS AVENUE, CHELSEA AT 1.00PM, SATURDAY 20TH MARCH 2021.

After lengthy delays, forced postponements and last minute cancellations due to COVID lockdowns, FINALLY our AGM went ahead.  There was a good turnout of Members on the day, so thank you one and all for showing up.  Minutes will be prepared and, when completed, will be available for viewing at the Club.  All Officeholder and General Committee Member positions have been filled.

Thank you to our outgoing Officeholders and General Committee Members:  We would like to pass on our gratitude to the outgoing Members of our Committee.  Serving as a Member requires dedication and tenacity.  Thank you one and all for the contributions that were made, and continue to be made, both on a personal and professional level.

Welcome to our newly elected Officeholders and General Committee Members:  We thank those Members who have willingly taken on the roles of Officeholders and Committee Members for yet another term. AND for those Members who have volunteered their services for the very first time, we offer our appreciation and thanks.

Thank you to our outgoing President:  Kerrie Brown has made the decision not to continue on as the Club’s President but will stay on as a Committee Member.  Kerrie has worked tirelessly over the past few years during what can only be described as very challenging times in more ways than one.

Welcome to our incoming President:  Llianne Forrrer has taken on the mantle of the Club’s President.   The role of Club President is not a new one for Llianne and we feel confident that she will apply the same grit and determination to her new position as she does with everything else she undertakes.

In additional to all of the above, Members in attendance volunteered to take on non-Committee roles such as Magazine Editor, Social Activities Organiser, Kitchen and Bathroom Supply Organiser as well as Website Organiser. Many thanks to all those Members who undertook these tasks in all the years prior to this year.  Thank you Rene, Holly, Susan and Julie.

All in all it was a very productive AGM with a great atmosphere that was charged with positivity and enthusiasm.

We thank everyone for their willingness to offer their time and services. Our Club will be in the best of hands for the upcoming year.
