LIMITED RE-OPENING OF THE CLUB
Classes will resume, but general Workshop visits will not.
The Victorian Government announced an easing of Lockdown restrictions that came into effect on Friday, 11th June 2021.
Please be advised that despite the fact that some restrictions have been eased, the requirement regarding the density quotient of 1 person per 4 sqm places the Club in an awkward position in respect to any anticipated re-opening.
Prior to this last Lockdown, the density quotient that the Club was operating within was 1 person per 2 sqm, but now that the distance has been doubled to 1 person per 4 sqm this means that only half the attendance is permitted. This is not a workable situation for general attendance at our Workshops as the Club cannot comply with this restriction.
HOWEVER: The Club is able to comply with the DHHS density quotient IF it permits Members - who were undergoing faceting and/or silversmithing etc courses that were postponed midstream due to the last Lockdown - to attend the Club to resume their courses. (Please note that this DOES NOT include new Members who were cutting their 1st and/or 2nd cabochons in the Rock Room.)
If this relates to you, you will be contacted by your Tutor who will discuss your situation with you.
*As a matter of courtesy, it is expected that you will give prior notice to your Tutor if you are not able to attend any class.
Please be advised that the following restrictions are in force for anyone attending the Clubhouse:
- The wearing of a face mask indoors at the Club is mandatory.
You must bring your own mask. No mask - no entry.
(Exemptions apply for people under 12 years of age and those with a medical exemption. Please have a copy of your exemption handy to show to your Tutor,)
- Remember also that masks are mandatory outside.
- Social distancing of 1.5 metres is still a mandatory requirement indoors and outdoors.
- The COVID QR Code Check-In App or the Contact Sign-in Log Sheets are mandatory requirements.
- Temperature checks upon arrival.
Deep cleansing practices and personal hygiene are always mandatory as is staying home if unwell.
The above information is current and applicable as at 12.01am Friday, 11th June 2021. We will endeavour to keep you up-to-date with any changes to any restrictions that may affect our Members.
