Our renovation of the jewellery room has been complete for almost a month and our members have settled in to the new layout! 

Over the month of August all the equipment was removed and stored, the old cupboards, floor tiles, benches and tables were removed by a combination of qualified technicians and our volunteers. A new sink was installed and power provided to each of ten new desks and a soldering station, which were built for us by the Dingley Mens' Shed. 

Both the jewellery room and the faceting room got a fresh lick of paint, and new carpet tiles were put down in the jewellery room. New cabinets and cupboards were assembled and all the tools then brought back in for our grand re-opening.

Huge thanks to Susan and Kerrie for organising everything, to all our volunteers, and to the Kingston Council for providing funding grants for the renovation. We're looking forward to seeing what you all make in the new room!
